MIN,
Here is some stuff that might help ...

All the work by Dick Sobsey seems to have a very good acceptance in the
field. The Roeher Institute has also done extensive work in the area - in
particular a whole series of books called “Out of Harm’s Way” … you can find
all of them on their website.

Some other stuff that I was sent regarding a course I was setting up:

Violence Against Women with Disabilities: Guidelines for Service Providers

These are Guidelines - written for service providers and includes: a general
introduction to violence against women with special attention to women with
disabilities; an overview of factors contributing to violence against women,
again, with special attention to women with disabilities; a discussion of
reasons why survivors don't report violence; an overview of impact issues;
and a comprehensive review of intervention and prevention issues with
attention to what anti-violence workers need to know about disability and
what care givers need to know about violence against persons with
disabilities.

Home Safe Home: Violence Against Women with Disabilities Living in
Institutions and Group Homes.

The other handbook, Home Safe Home is written for women with profound
physical disabilities and/or cognitive disabilities living in group homes or
institutions. It is written in a very reader friendly manner with lots of
illustrations and includes a "quiz" to help women determine if they have
been or are being abused. It was developed as a resource that could be used
by the women on their own or in conjunction with a supportive service
provider.

additional copies.
