Thanks Matt We knew about this link. Although it is obvious from the names of some LRECs which hospitals they represent, this does not go for all of them! There does not seem to be anywhere on the list that identifies all the hospitals they cover. In addition, we have found that most of the email adresses given on the website are incorrect! Ethics committees cover 'localities' rather than hospitals. A locality is an entire Strategic Health Authority and may include several LRECs (one advantage of this is that a doctor who is a member of a LREC and is thus barred from submitting proposals to them can submit the proposal to another LREC in the same SHA).
