Apologies for cross posting There are still places available for the following NoWAL (North West Academic Libraries) event. 04/02/2004 Report of the Research Libraries Group - Manchester 10.30 - 12.00 All Saints Lecture Theatre, All Saints Site Library, MMU This talk will provide a brief background to the setting up of the Research Support Libraries Group. It will outline the main points of the report, and describe progress towards implementation of the recommendations, especially the setting up the Research Libraries Network. It will also highlight challenges for the research support libraries community arising from the report. Speaker - Elizabeth Heaps Elizabeth Heaps is a qualified librarian who has spent most of her career at the University of York Library. During her time at York she has undertaken a variety of roles including that of Systems Librarian and Head of Reader Services and Systems. She was appointed University Librarian in 1999. Elizabeth is a member of a number of groups and committees both regional and national.
