Aimed at:

The course content is appropriate for any staff member wishing to improve their behaviour management and communication skills.

 

Outcomes:

By the end of the day, participants will have …

 

· considered guidelines for behaviour in the library

· learned how to cope with anger (ours and theirs)

· examined ways of coping with aggression

· practised responding to criticism and insults

· learned and practised some effective communication strategies

· become more confident in dealing with challenging behaviour

Ronnie Young BEd(Hons), Cert. OLD, Cert. IPCS, MA. Experienced training and development consultant with a proven track record of designing, developing and facilitating courses in the areas of education management, curriculum development and learning support. Specific and specialist expertise in the areas of behaviour management and inter-personal communication skills. In her teaching career, Ronnie has run a school library and currently is also an Ofsted inspector.
