Dear colleagues, In the near future I am due to commence the analysis of an animal bone assemblage from a Middle-Late Iron Age assemblage from Warwickshire. Most of the archaeozoological material from this period of the site seems to consists of "structured deposition". In particular, two well preserved inhumation burials were excavated with animal teeth apparently positioned on/or near the orbits. Does anyone know of parallels, published or otherwise and/or have any idea of the possible significance? Ian L. Baxter Consultant Archaeozoologist
