I have pictures of what I believe is a bone in the head of a large fish. It was recovered at Gordion, Turkey and dates to approximately 500 AD. The site is adjacent to a river and I have identified large catfish previously. As late as the early 20th century catfish were caught in this river exceeding 50 kgs. I will send the pictures to anyone who might assist me in the identification. I have the bone in hand if it cannot be identified from pictures. Thanks Jeremiah R.
