Forthcoming internet based courses by TFPL

The numbers of places are limited in both Glasgow and London so book now to secure place.

15 November
Internet tools for the advanced searcher - London
This one day course reviews searching techniques both with and without search engines and covers more specialised areas such as mailing lists, newsgroups, intelligent search agents, finding people and images and offers additional hints and tips for better and quicker searching. The course is continually updated to include the latest information, details of new search engines and enhancements to existing ones together with techniques for efficient searching and coverage of new resources.

16 November
Writing for the web - Glasgow
Do you want to write web content that works both for external websites and the intranet? Your website is your company's calling card so your words have got to hook the user. This course will teach you how to communicate more effectively with your customers online. It will also help you to write for your intranet so that it empowers your employees and guarantees your company greater long-term success.  This course is regularly sold out in London and new dates have had to be added throughout the year to cope with demand as well as requests from organisations to run it in-house.

The speaker for the courses on 15th & 26th November is Phil Bradley who has recently been working with Microsoft as a 'search champ'. He has probably trained more people in the UK on effective use of the internet than anyone else, and regularly teaches on behalf of TFPL, CILIP, UKOLUG, the School Library Association and others and that's just a taster.  Find out more about Phil Bradley and his range of experience by following the link on the course details pages.
