Dear Steven, List,

I got 64bits-matlab7 & spm2 running on a Linux box, 64 bits Opteron procs, Fedora Core 2. The binary compilation is the key, but is highly platform/processor specific. I attached my Makefile in a previous post:

http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/wa.exe?A2=ind0410&L=spm&P=R61967&I=-1&m=17237

Maybe you can use it, look at the -march=k8 compiler flag for the Linux settings, you can figure out the correct settings for Macintosh processors, I don't know much about Macinstosh systems unfortunately.

Furthermore, I have to start matlab in a console using 'matlab -nojvm', otherwise you get loads of Java related errors.

Apart from that, matlab 7 (release 14.x, 64 bits) in combination runs fine, for a week or so. Maybe we'll run into some problems in the future...

Good luck,

Bas
