Anna Russian literature in the last ten years A talk by Natasha Perova, editor of GLAS. In English. Tuesday 16 March 2004 7.00 pm for 7.30, at The Pushkin Club, Pushkin House, 46 Ladbroke Grove, London W11 4AP GLAS has published mainly contemporary Russian literature in English translation since 1991. There are now 32 books. Published works include Mariengof's 1929 novel, 'Cynics' and his 'A Novel without Lies', about his friendship with Esenin. Recent publications of contemporary writing include 'Nine of Russia's Foremost Women Writers' and the Russian Booker Prize Winner, Andrei Segeev's memoir, 'Stamp Album', both reviewed in the latest issue of the 'Journal of the Great-Britain-Russia Society'; and the latest book, Nina Lugovskaya's fascinating 'Diary of a Soviet Schoolgirl, 1932-1937.
