Assistant Editor
The Institute of Physics is looking for an Assistant
Editor to help write, edit and produce Interactions, its
new member newspaper. You will be working with the
editor on all aspects of production, so you should:
be proficient in Quark Xpress
have at least 2-3 years’ editing experience,
preferably with a magazine or newspaper
have at least 1-2 years’ news writing experience
be able to work to tight deadlines
be able to write about physics in an
accessible way
Interactions covers news about the activities of the
Institute of Physics - supporting physics education
and physicists, influencing science policy, and
encouraging physics research. It also includes
feature articles, interviews and opinion pieces on
issues that are important to the physics community.
Salary £23 - 25,000 per annum, plus benefits.
