Exploring the interfaces between science & society and the role of science communication

1-2 November 2004, Amsterdam

This conference will explore interfaces between science and society, including science communication and multi-domain problem solving.

The first day of the conference focusses on transdisciplinary research and new approaches to complex problems, with key-note speeches by Prof. dr. J. Bunders (Professor of Biology & Society) and Prof. dr. J. Grin (Professor of Policy Studies & Systeminnovations). \

Workshop themes are, amongst others:
- Transdisciplinary Knowledge Production in Health Research
- New Approaches to Complex Problems
- Ethical Values and Scientific Knowledge Production

The Organising Committee invites you to contribute to the workshops by submitting a paper. Accepted papers will be published in a separate chapter of the conference proceedings. Two of the accepted papers will also be selected for presentation and discussion at the workshop. There will be room for the presentation of posters separately during the conference. Abstracts for papers and posters are due on September 1, 2004.
