Industry Associate - up to £29,128 Research Fellow - up to £23,643 Highlands and Islands Enterprise in collaboration with the University of Strathclyde have established the Scottish Centre for Business Process Outsourcing, which will facilitate the development of the Highlands and Islands Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Industry by developing an Industry road map, which will be supported by academic research and practical technology-transfer programmes. Both posts are for 48 months. Industry Associate [Ref: R60/04] - Based in Alness, you will be responsible for networking with the Industry and providing leadership to facilitate its development. You will continuously monitor development requirements of the Industry and develop road-maps while working with the academic community and the Research Fellow to facilitate academic research. You will also develop technology-transfer programmes and be responsible for engaging the Industry on these programmes. You will have a good degree in Engineering or Business (or similar), demonstrating a good understanding of contemporary Supply Chain Management (SCM) issues, with 2 years of experience in management consulting and business development. Research Fellow [Ref: R61/04] - Based in Glasgow, at the University, you will focus on academic research to support the Industry road map, developing validated models and frameworks that could be easily used by the Industry. You will work closely with the Industry Associate in the development and delivery of the technology-transfer programmes as well as writing academic and practitioner oriented articles and papers. You will have a good degree in Engineering or Business (or similar), demonstrating a good understanding of research issues in SCM and BPO. Some experience either in industry or relevant academic research is desirable.
