Our policy states that the OH department is responsible for assessing
employees' fitness to travel.
We are given advance notice of intended travel dates.

Risk assessments were done first, one for general travel abroad and then one
for each country visited.
This covers pregnancy, disabilities, employees who are immuno-compromised or
have any pre-exisring medical condition placing them at risk etc. etc.  We
also keep a list on airline restrictions on flying.

NaTHNaC (National Travel Health Network and Centre) was started last year
and they have an Advice line for Nurses, Doctors and Pharmacists. They can
be contacted between 09:00 and 12:00 weekdays at 020 7380 9234.

You can contact me directly if you need any more info.

Does anyone have a policy re business air travel during pregnancy.

Particularly frequent flying to European destinations during 1st and 2nd
trimester?
