James, both these qualifications are recorded but not registered on the NMC register.  They are not   "registerable" as OH nursing does  do not have a separate part of the register.

The RCN quote in my previous e-mail therefore refers to a qualification recorded on the professional register.

For further clarification check the letter you received with your current NMC PIN card. Quoting directly from the letter I received with my PIN card in  March 2003:

At present the current status of your registered/recorded entries are as follows:-

Registered/Recorded Entry(s)                                      Current status of Entries

RN1                                                                                 Effective
Certificate in Occupational Health Nursing                      Effective

(Unfortunately the letters from he UKCC did not give this amount of detail)
