You may be able to get one funded if you are a health action zone. Our local Smoking Cessation Team provided training for staff involved in providing smoking cessation support as a freebie as long as we completed their paper work. We received a CO monitor from them so that we could complete the paperwork. There was some funding around for staff's time whilst providing the support sessions if the client fitted into certain categories. Check with your smoking cessation team at the health promotion unit.

I am posting the query on behalf of a colleague who is involve in a stop smoking clinic.

1. Is there a device that can measure the level of carbon monoxide in exhaled breath?

2. Is there a strip (like a dipstick for urine test) that can check the level of nicotine in urine?

If there is such device or strip appreciate if anyone let me know how to get it.
