anne,

excuse my ignorance here and my misunderstanding of your first message.  However,  you said 'Those who's qualificaitons are already recorded will be transferred automatically. It is my understanding that you won't have to do anything.'   When were our qualifications that we gained in March recorded?  If we didn't get them til march, how could they already be recorded?  Did the University do it?  I have been waiting for confirmation etc  of qualifications gained.

If I am the only one who can't understand this I am sorry,  but would like to be on that register along with everyone else that i studied with.

Dear All Students of SouthBank University & Lecturers etc

I notice Anne that you write we have to record our specialist qualification to be entered on the third part of the register - obvioulsy quite rightly so.  However, i am now very converned as i have recieved NO certificate or paperwork regarding my qualification.  I have spoken to another student who was told that all the certificates were sent our registered post.

Can i please encourage all students who have not recieved the necessary paperwork to contact the university urgently, it would be very sad to have worked so hard then not have your qualification recognised.  According to Anne we have to register before Aug - time is running out.

By the way, is there anybody else out there in the same position as myself? i would be interested to know who has not recieved the paperwork, if they all went out reistered post as South Bank states, something somewher! e has gone terribly wrong. .............again.

Some news from the NMC which follows on from the specialist practitioner
debate of a few months ago.

The OHNs on the list may be aware of the consultation exercise undertaken by
the NMC re the third part of their register. I have recently been involved
in working with them regarding whether OHNs should be included on the third
part of the register.

You may be interested to know that from August 2004 all OH nurses who have
recorded their specialist OHN qualification ie those with OHNC; OHND or BSc
in OH Nursing will, in addition to their existing registration(s) be
automatically registered on the new third part of the register which is for
community public health nurses. There will be an annotation next to their
name on that register indicating that their professional back ground is OH
Nursing. Other professional groups will include ! HV's and school nurses.

Unfortunately there is nothing as yet on the NMC web site.

Hello Becky and list

Firstly with regard to your BSc certificate from London South Bank Uni. Please contact our administrator for the programme Kiernan Roche 0207 815 8012.  He can advise you who to speak to re certificates.

Secondly re registering in August. You have misunderstood my original email. The NMC are opening the third part of the register in August. Those who's qualificaitons are already recorded will be transferred automatically. It is my understanding that you won't have to do anything.

Hope this is helpful.
