Amanda,

No problems with that, but what about entries made by physios, osteopaths, chiropractors and in this workplace, the optician etc in the same records?

ANHOPS has a standard for OH records on their website, I would use a combination of that the FOMs Ethics book and the NMC's standards for record keeping as a baseline for audit.

Where individuals are suggesting that they arent required to fulfil an allied professions standards, turn the standards into an organisational (departmental) policy and get them to acknowledge them this way.

Audit Tool for OH records

Does anyone use / have an audit tool for the content of OH records and entries by different practitioners?
