Applications are invited for Ph.D. studies focused on theoretical and
computational modeling of transport phenomena in nanoscale systems.
The research will be conducted in the group of Dr. Petr Kral in the
Department of Chemistry, at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

We are seeking creative and highly motivated individuals, with background
in theoretical physics, chemistry or related fields, and computational
skills. Preliminary knowledge of electronic structure methods, quantum
transport methods or molecular dynamics is welcome. The candidates should
be interested to conduct interdisciplinary research on novel hybrid
molecular/nanoscale systems, bordering physics, chemistry and biology.
The positions are available starting September 2005.

Interested candidates should e-mail their CV and the names and contact
information of several references to: [log in to unmask]
