Applications
for the 2005/2006 Overseas Research Students (ORS) Award Scheme are now
available.

deadline for the 2005/2006 Competition is 24 JANUARY

The
Overseas Research Students (ORS) Award Scheme is an annual competition run by
Universities UK of higher education institutions. The award provides funding
to cover the
difference, subject to a flat-rate limit, between the home and
overseas tuition fees rate;
there are no maintenance payments made with this
award.
Eligibility
The scheme is open to overseas students
(non-home/EU) of any nationality who intend to
pursue a research (MPhil/PhD)
degree programme only. To apply for an award through
King's College London
under this scheme, candidates should have received an offer of a
place to
study as a registered full-time research student at the College, and plan to
commence their studies at King's during the coming academic session, or be
currently
undertaking a research degree.
Application
procedures
Application forms for the 2005/2006 competition are available from
all School
Offices within the College and the Quality Assurance &
Academic Audit Office. They
are also available for downloading from this web
site:

however, please note that only paper versions of the application
and reference forms
will be accepted.
The closing date for receipt of
application forms at King's College London is 24
JANUARY 2005. This deadline
is absolute.
The College will submit its selected candidates to
Universities UK by 11 March 2005
after an internal selection process has
been completed, with Universities UK will
announce the results at the end
April 2005.
