Alison and Soo,
the CS rates for the Netherlands, as indicated by Edwin van Teijlingen, are correct  (more or less, like all data...) and confirmed by 'the Netherlands Perinatal Registry' (2000: 12,1 %; 2001: 13,8 %; 2002:13,6 %).

Best wishes,
Marianne Amelink

I doubt it. I don't think you'll have found data for Italy. For Netherlands, you will need to find one site for the obstetricians data and one for all births to get the proper denominator.

Subject: request for info re CS rates for 5 countries...

Does anyone out there in the bright blue yonder know where I can find
cesarean section rates  for New Zealand, Japan, Italy, Holland and the
US for 2001, 2002 and 2003? I can get some of these dates from the net,
but after hours of searching I cant find full data sets for any of these
countries. Im sure Im missing some crucial site somewhere...

Many thanks in anticipation!
