An opportunity has arisen for a visiting lecturer to deliver lectures and seminars on a level one module entitled 'Understanding Television' on the Film & Television Programme at St Mary's College (University of Surrey) in Twickenham. This module covers introductory level television studies, using Jonathan Bignell's 'An Introduction to Television Studies' as a key text. The module runs in semester two (starting in mid-February 2005) and the VL will be required to commit to four hours contact time per week on a Thursday afternoon.
