On Tuesday 2
November 2004 the Career Development
Group - North West is holding a free event
entitled "Portfolio Workshop - Portfolios for Life".
The aim of this event is to look at the requirements
for portfolios for the new range of qualifications, and how to put one together.
During the morning session speakers will be Alan Brine (Library Systems & IT
Manager at De Montford University) and Michael Martin (advisor in the Careers
and Qualifications Dept at CILIP). The afternoon will comprise of an
informal session allowing participants to find out more about the
practicalities of putting together a portfolio, a chance to ask questions and
see examples of portfolios.
It will be held
at Manchester Metropolitan University, Oxford Road, Geoffrey Manton Building, Lecture, Room GM
2.38.

Attendees
should arrive at 10am for a prompt start at 10:30. The lunch break (lunch not
provided, although food outlets are available nearby) will start at 12:30. The
