CILIP Library + Information Gazette item error

A significant error was contained in the item on the front page of Gazette, 24 Septmber, about the Asian Reader Group Seminar to be held by Alag (Asian Librarians & Advisers Group) on 26 November.

The price of the seminar is of course £60, not £600 as stated in the item.

Gazette apologises for this mistake, made in the editing stages. The correct information is below.

A one-day seminar looking at ways of creating reader-based activities for Asian reader groups has been organised by Alag (Asian Librarians & Advisers Group) for Friday 26 November 2004.

'Asian Reader Development' will take place at Stratford Library, 3 The Grove, London E15 1EL.  The varied reading patterns and settings for Asian reader groups will be the focus. Speakers will demonstrate, for example, how the National Archives' movinghere site can be used to create activities with Asian readers, and how the innovative LearnEast project provides learning programmes and environments to selected target groups.

The fee is £60.
