UKOLUG, the professional body for users and developers of electronic information resources has expanded
and improved its
range of products and services to users in the past couple of months.
Its new website www.ukolug.org.uk/ is at the heart of these changes. Updated and enhanced, it has become
the new face of UKOLUG, informing the electronic information community about the group. T
he site features
many topics of interest to online users and features UKOLUG’s new e-journal.
The site
includes: -
· Free factsheets covering areas ranging from ‘How to block pop-ups’ to ‘Ten Intranet Success Factors’
written by industry
experts
· Details of competitively priced and topical meetings for members and non-members alike. The current
programme including events on information architecture, legal Issues in Information Work and a new course
on dealing with information
overload – ‘I'm an Information Professional ... Get me out of
here!’
· A news page featuring items of topical interest such as the recent ‘Cookie and anti-spam legislation
comes into
force’
· Information about other activities, including an Advocacy area detailing UKOLUG responses to government
and industry
discussion papers or debates

Much of the site is accessible to all, while the e-journal is available only to members. Details of joining UKOLUG
