The sixteenth issue of VIP Eye is now available. The contents can be seen
at:

As usual, this issue looks at industry activity in the business
information sector, and provides details of new products and enhancements to
existing products
Although August is normally a quiet month for M&A
deals, there has been plenty of activity in the sector, and this issue includes
items covering Hemscott's reverse buy-out, Mergent's double acquisition and
Experian's expansion into the Greater China region. Additionally, there are news
items on personnel changes at OneSource and Snapshot's new office in New York.
News of new products covers a couple of web-based databases from
D&B, one of which combines company data on 80 million companies with linkage
information. There are also items on Microsoft's beta version of its newsstand
service which it hopes will rival Google News; a new report on electronic
newsletters from FreePint; and news of ICC's new services aimed at helping
companies meet anti-money laundering regulations. Plus, there's also news of
enhancements just made to Business Browser UK, Alacra and Europe's 15000 Largest
companies.
