***ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING & GUEST LECTURE *** Aslib HQ, 3-7 Temple Chambers, Temple Avenue London 2.00pm on Monday 28 June 2004 You are cordially invited to the Aslib Biosciences Annual General Meeting on Monday 28th June 2004 at Aslib HQ. The AGM will be accompanied by a talk from Dr Muir Gray on the Development of the National Knowledge Service. For more information see the National Knowledge Service web site http://www.nks.nhs.uk/ The National Knowledge Service is a federation of partners from the health and social care community that is working towards improving the knowledge available to that community. The objectives of the NKS include: * Assuring the quality of patient information on a variety of diseases, conditions and treatments * Greater access of information for everyone involved in the health care process * Wider access to information through a range of NHS public access technologies (the internet, digital television, and call centres) Anyone can use the NKS: it is a public service to facilitate the availability of knowledge. The lecture carries a fee of £10 to cover the cost of administration and refreshments. Members wishing to attend the AGM only can do so free of charge.
