I was involved with Aslib for five years, as Information Manager. There have been discussions on merging IIS, LA, & Aslib: these came to naught. It is unlikely such discussions would (or should)ever be resumed between Aslib & Cilip. Roger Bowes has been the effective leader of Aslib for many years now: Cilip members should be grateful they have an active Council.
