Some online catalogues allow displaying bibliographic records in MARC format, whatever the script.

See, for example,
- Bibliotheca alexandrina's BA catalog http://www.bibalex.org or
http://cwg.bibalex.org/cgi-bin/gw_42_20/chameleon?skin=default&lng=ar
- United Arab Emirates University Libraries. Catalog
http://library.uaeu.ac.ae/search
- King Abdul Aziz University Library, Djeddah. Online catalog

Here is a complement to Marie-Genevieve Guesdon's e-mail:  on the auteursarabes website, which is accessible to subscribers of the auteursarabes listserv, you can access a list of more than 100 bookmarks, among them a number of catalogues including Arabic script elements or records.

Subject: Arabic MARC

Dear Collegues,

Do you know of any work that has been done to establish Arabic MARC as a standard for Arabic cataloging?

Thank you
