Rowena ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CILIP & the New Qualifications Framework - what it means for you. Cranfield University Library is organising a seminar to look at CILIP's New Qualifications Framework and would like to offer an open invitation to all library and information workers in the region to attend. Marion Huckle, Head of CILIP's Membership, Careers and Qualifications Department, will present the framework, and cover such issues as the benefits of belonging to a professional organisation, chartership, revalidation, and opportunities for those without a degree in librarianship or information studies. Participants will have the chance to ask Marion questions and to network with other local library and information workers. The event is being held at the Kings Norton Library, on the Cranfield Campus of Cranfield University on the 12th August 2004 at 10am - 11.30am. Light refreshments will be provided.
