Can someone who is on lis-medical please forward to the list? Librarians from the NHS Library and Knowledge Development Network (LKDN), The Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP)and its sub-group Health Libraries Group (HLG) are to work together to develop "Agenda for Change" national job profiles for NHS library and knowledge workers. This will reduce the need for the widespread job evaluation of library and knowledge posts within NHS organisations. The Workforce Development Group of LKDN and the NHS Library Adviser will lead the development of draft job profiles for the most common jobs, supported by a working group. We will carry out this work with ASSIST (the professional association for health informatics staff), as library and knowledge workers have much to contribute and gain by partnership across the widening health informatics profession.
