re Fair remuneration etc Partners in my practice bring in £800/working day gross. @ approx 50% expenses we net £400/working day. Actually with holidays and bank holidays and the fact that we are on a 4 day week the net figure comes to £555. So £450 would not cover my net earnings for a day absent from the practice, and would contribute nothing to the expenses of the practice. Imagine all partners going away and working for £450/day elsewhere - your business would soon collapse! And you are being paid NOTHING for enormous expertise in IT No wonder they are desperate. I have been invited about 4 times and have so far refused due to inadequate pay.
