I am going to take the plunge with broadband (well after everyone else).

I need to run a cable from phone socket to modem.

I have mistakenly purchased a cable terminating in RJ11 plugs, but it says it is wired up for RJ12.

Will this make any difference? Does it just mean that there will be redundant wires?
