THE COMPANY

Is as very successful GIS services provider whose business revenues in the Central and Local Government sector continue to increase.  In order to drive sales even higher, they have identified the need to hire a sales-oriented GIS professional who will provide sales support to their busy sales force.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Pre Sales Consultant is responsible for providing day to day support to the field sales force.  This includes dealing with Invitations to Tender, writing compelling business proposals and putting together innovative solutions.

In addition the Pre Sales Consultant will be expected to demonstrate the technical capabilities of the companies GIS-based products, in relation to the client's existing technical environment.

CUSTOMER  SKILLS

Must have experience of working in a pre-sales role previously OR in a front office client-interacting role, where you will be expected to exercise your written and verbal/oral communication skills.  This could include training or presenting.

Must be able to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical people and relate to salespeople and customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with one of the more popular GIS products and also be familiar with internet and web-related technologies.  He or she should ideally hold a relevant degree or post-graduate qualification in GIS and possess experience of working in a non-academic environment.  Some fluency in a European language, French ideally, would be welcome.

Training will be provided where applicable.
