"The MUSE group of museums is hosting an important Museums symposium on 5th July 10.30am to 3.pm at the QAG conference centre, 27 Queen Anne's Gate, London SW1 with major speakers. Entitled "The Customer Counts: Empowering Museums, Inspiring Positive Change" the symposium is being launched to coincide with the introduction of MUSE - MUSE stands for Museums User Survey Evaluation, a new product launched by IPF with full endorsement from the national Museums Archives and Library council (MLA). The aim of the day is to raise awareness of the importance of useable visitor consultation. We invite debate on current museum culture and hope to creatively inspire new ways of thinking. Speakers include; Adrian Babbidge from Egeria Heritage Consultancy, Jon Finch, Head of Policy and Development at MLA North West Region, Janet Demme, Marketing Manager, National Maritime Museum at Greenwich, David Lightfoot from Lancashire County Council, and Stuart Davies Director of Research at the MLA.
