Dear all, 
Opportunity for Consultant to write e-learning plan

The South West Hub are looking for an experienced consultant to write an e-learning plan as part of the Hub's EPDP (the Education Programme Delivery Plan).  The deadline for tenders will be 5 July and the deadline for submission of the work will be October 2004. 

The South West Hub are looking for consultants that:
*are web literate, confident and comfortable and sensitive to colleagues who may not be 
*understand the potential of the medium in relation to museums
*are aware of both the ICT curriculum and the reality of how ICT is used and is likely to be used in schools
*understand and have experience of how to create high quality web based learning materials for schools, ideally in relation to museums and galleries
*have the ability to form partnerships and liaise at all levels
*are capable of strategic planning
*understand learning theories as they relate to current practice, e. g. Thinking Skills
*are aware of government and local initiatives in e-learning, particularly in the museum sector

Outputs
The consultant will be expected to produce a plan that provides:
*a model for structuring information for teachers that can be applied to all of the Hub museum sites
*ways to integrate e-learning opportunities into Extended Learning Packages
*a small number of experimental e-learning projects
