Freelance Researcher
for engage Cymru
Fee: £2,500 (inclusive of VAT, travel and expenses)
engage Cymru wishes to appoint an experienced freelance researcher with knowledge of arts funding systems and the gallery and visual arts sector in Wales, to undertake a gallery education audit and a Wales membership audit.
Building on the research work which engage England has recently undertaken, the researcher will undertake a thorough audit of gallery education activity with engage member galleries across Wales as well as identify and compile a list of potential new members. Knowledge of the geography of Wales, ability to speak Welsh and access to a car are a distinct advantage for this post.

£19,200 - £21,600 pro rata p/t 2.5 days per week, PAYE or freelance basis
engage Cymru (Wales) is seeking an experienced arts consultant with sound knowledge of the gallery and visual arts sector in Wales to cover the current co-ordinator’s maternity leave for a fixed term five month period.
The consultant will be required to co-ordinate the engage Cymru conference planned for March 2005 as well as develop advocacy and funding opportunities in liaison with engage Deputy Director Development Group.
engage Cymru is funded by Arts Council of Wales and has 60 members in Wales, including the National Library of Wales, National Museum & Gallery of Wales, Ffotogallery and Ruthin Craft Centre.
