Dear Cinly, storing patient information in the header of the analyze file is ofcourse a possibility. what i do is: put the patient id and scandate in the filename, for instance: filename: 1234567_20040101.hdr 1234567_20040101.img Usually, i convert dicom-files to ANALYZE and automatically grab patient-id and scandate from the DICOM-header. This works fine on scans from my own site. (you might run into trouble when using scans from other sites) Hope this helps, bye, Bas Jasperse VU medical centre, Amsterdam -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Cinly Ooi [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Verzonden: woensdag 19 mei 2004 18:16 Aan: [log in to unmask] Onderwerp: Re: Patient info in the header Legally, Analyze 7.5 provides the following feild to store Patient related information: char scannum[10]; char patient_id[10] char exp_date[10]; char exp_time[10]; char hist_un0[3]; where number in (brackets -1) is the maximum number of letters allowed. minus one because we need a space for termination character. normally '\0' . See www.mayo.edu/bir/PDF/ANALYZE75.pdf I'm sure if you put the values in these fields, FSL will carry the data through to all generated results. However, I will not count on it for every Analyze Viewer in this world to read these information or transfer them properly. thanks, Cinly Himachandra Chebrolu wrote: > Hello FSL'ers, > > I've my data in Analyze7.5 format.I'm doing my analysis on several > brains and it's being tough keeping tract of the Patient ID's.Is there > a way I can save the patient information into the header file.I do > have Analyze and FSL softwares. > > Thanks in Advance, > > Himachandra. > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Do you Yahoo!? > SBC Yahoo! > <http://pa.yahoo.com/*http://us.rd.yahoo.com/evt=24311/*http://promo.yahoo.c om/sbc/> > - Internet access at a great low price.
