In trying to persuade a friend that the late Ronald Reagan was not the
friend of the environment as he claimed I used two quotes attributed to
Reagan: 1)"You've seen one redwood you've seen them all." and 2) "Trees
cause popllution."  The second one came I think from one of his imfamous
note cards and was maed, I think with the notion that any exhaust is
pollutin and the oxygen is the exhaust of plant respiration, ergo trees
cause pollution.   But if any one can tell me the exact origins of each
of the quotes I would appreciate it very much. Plus have bragging rights
for once over my Republican friend.
