Data for my dissertation|Your University Application Letters/Essays Dear all, I am an MSc student in Applied Linguistics. For my dissertation I am planning to analyse application letters/essays written by English native speakers in support of their application for university admission. (These letters/essays are also called statement of purpose, study plan, letter of intent, motivation letter and personal statement.) I understand that these documents may contain personal or confidential information, so you are free to remove any identifying information if you wish. I assure you that at no stage will I reveal anything private or confidential. (The only personal information I shall need is your nationality and native language.) It is very difficult to collect data and I really need your help. If you have kept a copy of this type of letter/essay and are willing to let me use it, or if you have any queries, please contact me. This is the second time I have sent out this request.
