Dear List Members The National Centre for e-Social Science (NCeSS) will be holding a free introductory workshop to e-social science at the University of Manchester on the 19th of November. No technical expertise or prior knowledge is required as the day will introduce you to the concept of e-social science, you will have plenty of opportunity to try out access grids (the next generation of video conferencing) and e-social science training and awareness materials. There will also be an introduction to NCeSS, its purpose and the services it offers. This event is an opportunity to meet experts in Grid technology and to see how the practice of social science may be influenced by these emerging technologies.
