Hi Honey,

I'm not sure exactly what it is you are looking for, but if I understand it correctly, what about the "Shooting Sticks" used by sportsmen.  You can still buy them from gunsmiths etc., I had one until recently that I purchased when I was into Archery.

I'm talking about the sort of walking stick with a double handle arrangement that opens out with a leather sling forming a seat.  They don't actually form a self supporting seat unless spiked into the ground but are a supportive seat that you rest on.  Not good unless the user is unstable.  I guess you could fit a rubber ferrule (if that's how it's spelt) for use on concrete/tarmac/floors.

If you do a Google search on "shooting stick sports" you will find them.

Subject: leaning stool

Dear colleagues

Has anyone come across a stool that can be used by an individual who is
unable to either stand or sit?  The person will need to lean on it to
rest, and if possible it needs to be portable so it can be taken
wherever the person needs to go.

Any suggestions most welcome!
best wishes
Honey Lucas
