Sheffield Hallam University strives to create an accessible and welcoming institution, and requires an experienced dyslexia tutor to join the Disabled Student Support Team within the Student Services Centre.  The work of the Team is embedded in the University's structures and philosophy.

 
You will be a graduate with relevant experience of delivering dyslexia support to students in Further or Higher Education.  A relevant professional qualification or training is desirable.

You will be ICT literate and will have the ability to produce written reports, organise and prioritise work and use a problem solving approach.  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people are essential.

You should be student centred, able to use your initiative, be committed to equal opportunities and have a flexible approach to working patterns.

You will be able to contribute to the development of the service and to work in an environment which encourages individual initiative alongside genuine team working. There will be the opportunity to engage in research, produce literature for the HE sector and participate in research and development forums.
