        Hi all

I have a student who is a BSL user and is studying on the MA
Fine Art. He completed a BA Fine Art and managed the dissertation with
specialist tutor support. However, due to the volume of words required
for the MA dissertation we are considering an alternative assessment.

One option is for the student to be videoed signing the
dissertation which would then be translated into English. Does anyone
have experience of using this approach and the positives and negatives
of it?

Would be grateful for your views, contact me off list if you
like.
