The project, which is directed by Professor Mary Fuller, has received funds for four years to study ‘Enhancing the quality and outcomes of disabled students’ learning in higher education’. Other members of the team are Professor Mick Healey (Gloucestershire), Professor Alan Hurst (Central Lancashire), Professor Sheila Riddell and Dr Elisabet Weedon (Edinburgh) and Ms Terry Wareham and Ms Linda Piggott (Lancaster). The post provides an excellent career opportunity for someone who has recently completed a PhD, to work with a team of researchers on a high-profile, interdisciplinary project. You must have a higher degree in a relevant discipline (probably social science, but other disciplines may be accepted). Experience of qualitative research methods and of researching disability issues is essential, as is an interest in teaching and learning. Knowledge of appropriate software would be an advantage. You must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interview individuals from a range of different backgrounds.
