and repeated on....

Tuesday 17th 2004 at All Saints West, Room 101, from 10.00hrs to 13.00hrs with lunch and
coffee break provided.

These sessions are offered in order to support the September 2003 deadline for
implementation of 'DDA compliant' ICT auxiliary aids and services. It is important that
we not only understand how advances in Information Technology can serve to support
disabled students, but also recognise the problems, which may be encountered in using IT
systems.

This workshop will give participants a better understanding of the range of assistive
technology currently available and the ways it can be used to spoort disabled stiudents'
access to curriculum.

These sessions with be led by Ian Webb.

You are invited to reserve a place by contact Claire Gorrell (0161 246 3491 or at
[log in to unmask]) in the LSE. Please also specify any particular requirements
whether dietary, or other.

This event is ESF funded.

2. DDA Part IV - Auxiliary Aids and Services

Wednesday February 18th 2004 in Room 526 at the Aytoun Campus from 11.00hrs to 14.00hrs

This session is offered in order to support the September 2003 deadline for
implementation of 'DDA compliant' auxiliary aids and services in responsible bodies - in
this case at MMU. This will be a practical workshop, using case studies and multimedia
applications, with time for detailed consideration of what would constitute 'reasonable'
adjustments in relation to the auxiliary aids and services we provide for disabled
students.

This session will be led by Neil Farmer, from the CPSI team.
