Duxbury is fine, as are many others, but you really cannot produce Grade 2 Braille without understanding it Grade 2 Bralle. You have to learn it. Grade 2 is highly contracted, and no translation software is fully automatic - you have to understand grade 2, and how your particular software works. If you are, as you say, going on to produce tables etc, you REALLY need to understand your software, Braille conventions, and the nature of tactile perception and how to ADAPT materials professionaly. If you are talking maths and physics and chemistry and French and German etc etc, you need an expert. And no matter how many different software packages you have, there will ALWAYS be occasions when you need a Perkins to manually Braille material. I don't actually know where you are based Tim, but if you are within reach of Derby you are welcome to visit and I would be happy to show you a production system and explain material adaptation clearly and in detail.
