I need to know what teaching students with SpLD involves, but I don't need to be qualified to teach myself. There must be quite a few people like me who want more in-depth study of what SpLD / dyslexia is, its effects, how it is identified, the support needed and so on, but who do not have a teaching background and neither want nor need to teach students. I arrange for tutors to do that role. I come from a more social work / counselling background and have a postgraduate qualification (which includes some psychology) in that field.
