Why remove their identity (not yours I trust :))  Name the culprit, I for
one would like to know who thinks this forms acceptable practice.

That being said ..I can recognise some ingenuity here though!
De-constructing the disclaimer, they present a (just) credible position to
claim that they had taken reasonable precautions and offered all the right
remedies i.e. optouts if a mistake has been made.

Driving traffic to a web site by faking an unsubscribe link/problem is a
desperate, tardy measure; but the disclaimer may get them off the hook given
TICO position on rectifying mistakes, rather than prosecuting at first
offence.
