Does the other Housing Association not have the duty to disclose as it is their property...and is there not some legislation in place which allows people to sue - or is that only applied in private sales and not tenancies. I would have thought that the other Housing Association wuld have had a duty to advise not to mention child protection issues.

        Help pls, quick responses appreciated.
A tenant of ours (with young children) wants to do a mutual exchange with a
        tenant of another landlord.
During our findings, we have been informed by the police that the next door
tenant ( of other landlords' tenant )is a known paedophile and is currently
        under observation by them.
What do I do? Because such info is not in the public domain, I cannot go
ahead and inform our tenant about the fact that his potential next door
        neighbour is a paedophile.
We have a number of reasons why mutual exchanges cannot be approved, but
this is one reason that is not included and that we cannot pass on.
I need to give a reason why this mutual exgange cannot go ahead. Any ideas?
Would be able to say something along the lines of "There is a known
paedophile in the area....", and hope that scares our tenant from
        continuing with the exchange.

        Thanks
