I know this will pass by most of you completely, but for my colleagues in Scotland there is a rather worrying story in today's Daily Mail. It appears that the Scottish Child Law Centre (SCLC) are about to start touring schools telling everyone that pupils over 12 can stop their parents seeing their educational records. Admittedly, the text of the article (and the comment) is fairly confusing. Having looked previously at the new regs (and again today !), our reading is completely the reverse, i.e. parents now have a right of access to educational records with the exception of sensitive data. Has anyone else seen the story or had a thought about the regs ?
